Bamboo

Highly Scalable Finite Element Analysis

Bamboo is a package for massively distributed Finite Element Analysis. Users will be able to solve PDE's on exceedlingly large meshes (upwards of 10 million nodes) using cloud-based resources, which tend to be more affordable than private clusters, especially for academic budgets.

Features:

Bamboo supports Inner Product and solution Basis functions written in a wide variety of programming languages, so that you can easily take advantage of your existing research software. Languages supported include C, C++, FORTRAN, Java, and Ruby. Bamboo is a research project, and will not be publicly available until Winter 2011. For now, we recommend you check out the original version of Bamboo, which supports medium-sized clusters of Mathematica nodes.
